Why College Board Gets Rid of the SAT Essay?The SAT essay is a problem that the College Board has been trying to resolve for quite some time. They want students to write more, but few are going to write essays for a test that tests their reasoning skills.Most college students write essays for class and the College Board understands this. In order to make up for the lack of essay writing in a test like the SAT, they have devised an essay that will cover almost every topic in a writing project. It is also worth mentioning that the SAT takes place at the beginning of the semester, so you will need to wait until after the semester is complete before you are allowed to start writing your essay.The first thing that the College Board wants you to do is to write an essay about how many children you have. That is pretty much all that it takes for you to move onto the next step. After you have answered this question, move on to the next step, then the next, and so on and so forth.In order to m ove on from there, you must answer a question. Namely, you must now identify a historical figure who you believe was the greatest leader or thinker that ever lived. This is a big step. You must then list three qualities that this person possessed that you believe were important to your life.You must use personal experiences in order to support your opinions. You must also give specific examples of those personal experiences. At the end of the essay, you must provide the College Board with a conclusion that is worth one hundred words or less.After you pass the first portion of the SAT essay, you move onto the second part which involves answering another four questions. Once again, you need to use your experience to support your opinion. You must describe a situation or a person and explain how that situation affected you. You will also need to name three of those people and how your life has been changed by them.In order to answer the final question in the essay, you must summarize y our topic and use your personal experiences to provide context for your thoughts. After you have answered all of the questions, you must come up with a one-liner that is worth one hundred words or less. At the end of the essay, you can then provide your conclusion that is worth one hundred words or less.The SAT essay has been the bane of most high school students and their parents alike. The college board realized that students were not going to write essays, but they couldn't control it. So instead of making students write essays, they have devised essay questions that force students to write lengthy essays that offer only short answers.
